  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • ZIP code / address
  • Simulation data (home type, electricity usage, roof orientation, etc.)

Important: For lead information, the SolarSales Pro customer (the solar installer) is the business that determines how the data is used. KLT GROUP LLC acts as a service provider that processes lead information on the customer's behalf and only as needed to provide the service. Leads should direct privacy requests to the business that collected their information.

  • Secure: detect and prevent fraud and unauthorized access
  • Comply with the law: meet our tax, accounting, and other legal obligations

5. Categories of Personal Information (CCPA)

Under the CCPA/CPRA, the personal information described above falls into the following statutory categories:

  • Identifiers: name, email, phone number, IP address, account identifiers.
  • Customer records: billing and contact information.
  • Commercial information: subscription and transaction history.
  • Internet or network activity: browser type, pages visited, interactions with the simulator.
  • Geolocation data: approximate location derived from IP address or ZIP code.

We collect this information directly from you, from visitors who interact with the simulator on our customers' sites, and automatically through your use of the service. We use it for the business purposes described in Section 4.

6. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only with the service providers needed to operate SolarSales Pro:

  • Stripe (United States): payment card processing. Stripe is PCI-DSS certified.
  • Google Cloud / Firebase (United States): application and database hosting. Data is hosted in Europe (europe-west1 region).
  • Resend (United States): delivery of transactional emails (lead notifications, alerts).
  • Sentry (United States): monitoring technical errors to improve the stability of the service.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, and property.

7. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months. We also do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require us to offer a "right to limit," and we do not offer any financial incentives in exchange for personal information.

8. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers are located in the United States, and our application data is hosted in the European Union (Firebase europe-west1 region). Where information is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses and recognized data transfer frameworks, to protect it.

9. Data Retention

  • Account data: kept for the duration of your subscription, then for up to 3 years after cancellation for legal and dispute-resolution purposes.
  • Billing data: kept as long as required by applicable tax and accounting laws.
  • Lead data: kept according to our customer's policy (the business that collected it). If a customer account is deleted, the data is removed within 30 days.
  • Technical and security logs: up to 12 months.
  • Session cookies: for the duration of the session or up to 30 days.

10. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know / access: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, along with how we use and disclose it.
  • Right to delete: request deletion of the personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing for you to opt out of, but you may still contact us with questions.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@solarsales-pro.com. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will verify your identity before fulfilling a request and will respond within 45 days, with one possible 45-day extension if reasonably necessary.

11. Your Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain other states — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Montana — have privacy rights under their state laws that are similar to those described above, such as the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, and certain profiling.

Because we do not sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it for such profiling, those opt-out rights generally do not apply, but you may exercise your access, correction, and deletion rights by contacting us. If we deny a request, you may appeal our decision by replying to our response; if your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.

12. "Do Not Track" Signals

We do not track users across third-party websites for advertising, so we do not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We honor opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) to the extent required by applicable law.

13. Cookies

Our site uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the service:

  • Authentication cookies: to keep you signed in
  • Preference cookies: to remember your settings (theme, language)
  • Security cookies: to protect against CSRF attacks

We do not use advertising, tracking, or third-party behavioral-analytics cookies.

14. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Encryption of data at rest in our database
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) available for your account
  • Restricted data access based on the principle of least privilege
  • Access monitoring and anomaly detection
  • Regular backups and a disaster-recovery plan
  • Regular security testing

15. Children's Privacy

SolarSales Pro is a service intended for business professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. We do not sell the personal information of consumers under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or through the platform at least 30 days before it takes effect.

The "last updated" date is shown at the bottom of this page.
